I'm a big fan of individualism. Alot of my friends know this just because of how insane I act sometimes. No one should be allowed to dictate what you say, what you think, or what you want to do with your life. Of course, there are exceptions to this, but I only try to stop the potential career criminals because, as an individual, I like to uphold the law.
My mom's favorite arguement for why I should do something is so I won't get made fun of. Why should I care that? They're gonna make fun of me anyway. I've got a +9.5 correction on my eyes, I talk faster than my mouth can keep up with, and I usually don't think at all before I speak. I'm going to be the butt of alot of jokes. It's not something I can control.
What I can control is how much it affects me. I choose whether or not some off handed comment about my "stupid blog" does anything to me. The choice I make is obvious. I wanna do what I want to please who I want. Right now there are only a couple of people that I like pleasing. They are the closest people in my life and I wouldn't trade them for the world (Or in my Bunny's case, all the worlds and everything in them).
This isn't to say I like the comments that people say. I just don't let them affect my judgement. If I like something, and it isn't against my moral values, I will do it no matter who likes it. I'd rather they all like it, and I hate how people judge others all the time (I am very guilty of this), but in the end, my word is the final one on whether I change my ways.
